Preparatory work for the upcoming China International Import Expo is in full swing

The preparatory work for the upcoming China International Import Expo in November is in full swing. Many foreign parent companies will participate in the expo, and other companies will also take part in as professional purchasers and service providers.

A trading delegation of the Pudong New Area will be formed to focus on the six-day expo to ensure the purchasing scale and quality and exert its trading platform’s professional advantages, as well as to facilitate foreign commodities to enter the Chinese markets, according to a recently held promotion meeting for the CIIE in the Pudong New Area.

A one-stop perennial trading service platform will be set up to sustain the expo’s results and functions and to provide logistic services and business tourism supporting services to the expo’s participators.

Also, the platform will support Shanghai’s efforts in building itself into a world debut place for the global new commodities, and it will work closely with Shanghai Customs and Shanghai Commission of Commerce to promote trade facilitation and innovations.

The Pudong New Area will take advantage of the 10-billion-yuan and 100-billion-yuan scale trading centers of liquor and wine, cosmetics, automobiles, and machine tool in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone to facilitate the foreign commodities to enter the Chinese markets by providing overall services to the foreign companies such as precise docking, commodity registration, customs declaration, and supply chain.

So far, the Donghao Lansheng Belt and Road Imports Exhibition Center, the Australia Commerce Center and other 13 platforms in Pudong have been chosen as the official “6 + 365 days exhibition and service platforms.”

To meet the needs of many companies in the area to dock with the CIIE, the Pudong Commission of Commerce held a seminar for the Pudong New Area participators and purchasers of the CIIE, inviting Liu Fuxue, deputy director of the CIIE bureau, to bring the seminar attendees up to date preparatory work for the CIIE. He also had discussion with and answered the questions of the representatives from more than 20 companies in the area.
