Czech Pavilion holds soft opening ceremony in Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone

The Soft Opening Ceremony of the Pavilion of Czech Republic in Shanghai Free Trade Zone was held on Wednesday.

Located in Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, the pavilion is a comprehensive service platform managed by the Sino-Czech Industrial Co, which is recognized by the Consulate General of Czech in Shanghai and officially authorized by the Shanghai FTZ Administration. The platform has incorporated the functions of comprehensive exhibition and projects docking.

The pavilion’s exhibition area is divided by the themes of special commodities, cultural education, industrial technologies, handicraft, and liquors and wines.

Mobile offices have been set up for Czech’s companies to have business meetings or set up their branches. The pavilion also has incorporated Hi-Tech industry incubator and imported Czech technologies and projects in the industries such as automobile manufacture and electronic equipment production.

So far, the Czech Pavilion has attracted Czech companies such as Skoda Auto, ZDAS, Petrof, a Czech piano manufacturer; Moser, a luxury glass manufacturer; Alpine Pro, a Czech outdoor brand, and Bohemian Pilsner, a Czech beer manufacturer.

Also, the Czech Pavilion has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ctrip,, Shanghai Import Food Committee, South China Normal University School of Music, and Lianfei Group Co to promote Czech’s brands, educational exchange programs and to introduce Czech’s elements into real estate development projects.

The Czech Pavilion has teamed up with the Sino-Czech Football Association to promote young football players training program with European standards and certified football coach programs.

In addition, the pavilion will work with Ctrip to promote Czech’s tourism industry, promote its commodity trade through Alibaba’s B2B platforms, combining physical stores with e-commerce’s services, to facilitate the cooperation in trade between China and Czech.

At the Sino-Czech Cooperation Projects Road Show, the pavilion gave introductions to the Petrof International Competition, the real estate projects in Hongqiao District, the sub Czech Pavilion in Luoyang Area of China (Henan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the exchange programs of Czech’s famous scholars at the invitation of East China Normal University’s Department of Music.
