Waigaoqiao Bonded Area introduces single service window V3.0 for expatriates

The Foreigner Single Window V3.0 was launched at Waigaoqiao Bonded Area recently to better serve the expatriates working and living in Shanghai.

Initiated by Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs, Shanghai Customs, the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau, Shanghai Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Shanghai Talents Service Center, Shanghai International Travel Healthcare Center, the Organizing Department CPC Pudong New Area Committee, Shanghai Free Trade Zone Administration, and the Free Trade Zone Branch of Shanghai Public Security Bureau.

The V1.0 of the Foreigner Singer Window was introduced in 2016 to incorporate the residence and working documents issuance at a single window. Then the v2.0 was introduced subsequently in 2017 providing more services for foreigners working in the Free Trade Zone.

The V3.0 window has introduced intelligent online services, and the foreigners’ application time for working and residence permits and physical examination certificates time have been shortened to 14 working days, and now the employers of expatriates need only to submit one integrated form for their employees’ application of working and residence permits.

Also, the approval process of the applications can be checked online and the approving information is shared by multiple government departments.
