Kiribati minister visits South Pacific’s United Pavilion at FTZ

Tetabo Nakara, minister of Fisheries, Republic of Kiribati, visited the United Pavilion of the South Pacific island countries at the Shanghai Free Trade Zone on October 12 and exchanged ideas on marine products trade.

Kiribati has a 3.5-million square-kilometer marine economic area with rich marine resources such as tuna, lobsters, fish and ocean minerals.

Nakara was sure that quality aquatic products from Kiribati, such as tuna, groupers and lobsters, will be promoted at the upcoming second China International Import Expo to be held next month in Shanghai.

This year, the Shanghai FTZ will set up 199 square meters of exhibition area at the CIIE to showcase the culture, tourism, trade, and services of Australia, Chile, South Pacific island countries and other countries and regions.
