C.H. Robinson launches new bonded warehouse in Shanghai FTZ

C.H. Robinson, a leading third party logistics and supply chain provider, recently started the operation of its new bonded warehouse in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone.

Covering an area of nearly 6,000 square meters, the warehouse provides services including bonded storage, sorting, distribution and delivery of imported goods to China. Based in the FTZ, the warehouse service covers the East China area, specifically, and the whole country in general.

Besides, value-added services including repackaging, quality control, and imported goods are also provided. With its own professional teams specializing in customs clearance and commodity inspection, the warehouse can solve problems at its source.

The warehouse has also applied for qualification certificate for handling of imported food and set up a thermostatic area for fresh food and fruit storage.

“China is promoting economic transformation and we are making adjustments in our value-added services to meet the country’s increasing demand for import business,” said Lin Weizhi, the company’s general manager of logistics and transportation in Asia.
